LENNAR SETTLEMENT
UPDATE for NOVEMBER

We appreciate your patience and understand your current frustrations with the settlement process. There are now legal delays we want to explain – causing the settlement funds to be further tied up in court.

If you are reading this message, you have done everything we need you to do, at this time, to be able to receive the $600 settlement once the litigation in court proceedings is concluded and the court issues an order for Lennar to send us the funds.

Here is the NOVEMBER update:

As everyone is aware, the Lennar settlement release process was finalized in August. Lennar filed a motion for court approval on September 10, 2024.
The Court was set to hear the motion on October 31, 2024- and then due to scheduling conflicts beyond our control, the Court moved the date to December 19, 2024, to hear the motion.

Due to the current legal delays, the law firm will NOT be receiving the Lennar Settlement funds by the end of this year, (2024) and our hopes of sending Settlement funds for the holidays are now crushed!

Sometimes, the Court will not issue an order for several weeks or months after the hearing.
If this happens, we cannot proceed with the settlement until the Court grants the motion and issues the order for Lennar to send us the funds.
We will send next update after December 19, 2024 Hearing.

Please keep your contact information updated at all times!!

You may always reply back to this email with an updated cell phone, mailing address or changed email.
You may also get in touch with the Sausalito Main office if you need to update your personal information.
However, the office staff cannot tell you when you will receive your checks because we don’t have that information.

We understand that for many, this is your first experience dealing with a lawsuit and most have never been involved with a lawsuit like this, and they can be very frustrating for all. Unfortunately, things always take longer than anticipated or hoped for.
Courts changing court dates and moving them out often happens during litigating a lawsuit- it is normal, although inconvenient and frustrating.

Please know that while we are all waiting to hear back from the courts on Defendant Lennar, the litigation with Defendant Tetra Tech is ongoing. We will always continue to update you as things progress.

Stay blessed & keep safe!!

Attorney Bonner
